Earthquake in New Zealand

At 12:51, local time, there was an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 with epicenter near the city of Christchurch, on the island South of New Zealand. Unlike what happened five months ago, this time there are many victims.
This is the law of our planet. Many of the best spots are geologically unstable. Applies to Italy, Iceland, New Zealand and many others.
In pictures: the epicenter of the earthquake, the distribution the epicenters of deep earthquakes in New Zealand over the last decade and those superficial, as the latter (5 km).
It 's interesting to note that the distribution of deep earthquakes designs the slope of the fault plane that separates the Australian plate from the plate to the North West Pacific South East
